The complete steps of a flight

    Search for your flight.

To search for a flight in ACARS, navigate to the Flight Search page and enter the desired flight number or airline. Please note that the “Flights from Current Only” feature is enabled, meaning you can only select flights departing from your current airport location.

If needed, you can change your location using the Jumpseat feature available on our website.

    Load the flight plan.

Once you have identified the flight you wish to operate, click on the red “Load” button.

    Ready to go.

This will automatically populate the flight details, including the route, departure and arrival airports, and flight number. However, you must manually enter the aircraft type and the flown network before proceeding.

    Start your flight.

Once you have completed the remaining required fields, ensure that your engines are shut down and that you are parked at a designated gate. Then, click on “Start Flight.”

Upon starting the flight, you will be directed to a live map within ACARS, where your flight progress will be tracked. Additionally, a flight announcement should automatically appear in the Flight-Ops channel on Discord.

    End your flight.

At the conclusion of your flight, ensure that your engines are shut down and that you are parked at a designated gate. Then, click on “End Flight” in ACARS.

After ending the flight, proceed to file your PIREP. Once submitted, your PIREP will be reviewed by a staff member, and you must wait for approval.
